Always enjoy the show. Was thinking about Edward Tufte when you were considering PowerPoint. Tufte used the shuttle Columbia as an example of how PP obscures technical decision making at NASA and was causative in the accident. His books revolutionized the way I thought about the graphical display of data. I use his Columbia analysis in a module on engineering ethics to show the moral imperative on engineers to be good communicators. He has a good website:
